Hubby got me a basil plant from the grocery store. I don’t have a great history with herbs. Looks root bound. Tips? Do I replant? I need a decent bit of basil for cooking this week. Any considerations with not over plucking?

You can replant if you want, but it requires a lot of watering. Id clean the roots off gently and keep in a cup of water personally.

0 likesYeah! I don't personally do it, I have mine in a big planter with other herbs and I water mine like every 4 days, but my mom does with good results. So that's a lower maintenence way to keep them on your counter. Just make sure the roots are as clean as possible so they don't rot.
