High Vibrational

Peace, prosperity & high vibrations to all! So I just moved into this new place after my divorce and am looking to become a plant connoisseur and brighten the mood and raise the vibrations. Am seeking a large tall plant. Preferably, one on each side of this main wall. This is a south facing large window. Would Dracaena’s work, or is this too much direct light? Thanks,

Dracaenas do thrive in high light but it may not like being up against a south facing window. A large reflexa with great architectural form could be gorgeous. It’s definitely doable but you’ll need to pull it back some or install some sheer curtains that would layer the room, add softness and help to diffuse direct sunlight. Black bamboo would be nice too but very high maintenance. A large columnar cactus would be a really cool low maintenance investment that would love this location if you’re into that. So many varieties would work but I suppose it’ll have to be your trial. Take your time, this is such a great window to work with!

Thank-you very much for the information! I just got back from the garden center. Decided to go with the Ficus Benjamina’s. It was explained to me that they will fare much better in bright direct sunlight. As so long as I pick a spot and keep them there because they’re very moody when it comes to change. Which is fine by me because their spot will be aesthetically pleasing with a little pruning here and there. Will upload a picture once I have them permanently settled in. Thanks again!

Ficus Benjamina is really pretty. Love the weeping habit. I know leaf drop to be true for some. I was told the same thing when I bought mine and didn’t experience that. Hope you don’t either. Good luck and can’t wait to see the new space put together.
