Hi! Phil here has started to get pretty leggy at the bottom. Is there anything I can do to make him less leggy? Should I clip off the leggy bits to propagate? Any advice is appreciated!

You absolutely can cut it to propagate. It won’t fill out those spots. Leggy growth is usually a sign of something lacking though, lack of light, lack of nutrients, etc. Especially seeing as the new leaves don’t have any variegation on them. I’d investigate a bit more.

Clip, root than add the rooted ones around your plant and it will definitely fill it out and look nicer

This - propagate the leggy parts and put them back into the pot to fill out and thicken the growth at the top

Add 8 hours to 10 hours of light with a grow light or the new growth will still become leggy looking for light and revert to a standard green philodendron.
