2025 has made me want to get more plants. I only have an aloe plant so far, she’s about 2 years old. Can y’all suggest some beginner plants for me? Somewhere to start? Inside or outside really doesn’t matter. 🪴

If you want something similar to a Aloe Vera, try going for a snake plant or zz plant, while if you want something bigger, try a monstera
4 Mi piaceI have found Christmas cactus to be really easy, I second the zz, those are easy, golden barrel cacti, waffle plants. Those are my easiest.

Scindapsus! Super pretty, can tolerate varying light conditions, dry out between waterings, tell you when they’re thirsty, & there’s just something about the beefy leaves I love. 😍
3 Mi piaceOh that’s pretty 🤩 Thank you!
0 Mi piacepothos are good cause there is so many different types and you can try out propagating which can be fun! i think peace lily’s are a good starter plant because they are very vocal about needing watering so it will help you learn the intuition of watering plants!
5 Mi piaceI second pothos. easy to care, get, and they’re pretty
0 Mi piaceSnake plants are pretty beginner friendly! It was my first plant

Research toxicity if you have pets. Some easy safe plants are spider plants, Chinese money plant, parlor palm, ponytail palm, haworthia, baby rubber plant (peperomia obtusifolia), staghorn fern, birds nest fern. I love Calatheas but they can be a bit more temperamental as well orchids. Best of luck to you. It can become an addiction
