I just repotted my tomato plant in a 7-1/2 gallon pot and while trying to keep it on the cage I broke a few stems. Should I take the broken ones out or will they grow back? Also is that the right positioning on the cage?

Tomato plants grow large. It’s typically one plant per pot/cage to avoid overcrowding that can lead to reduced airflow, light blockage and mold issues. I recommend keeping only one plant in the pot. 🪴🍀

I understand that but I don’t have the space in my apartment for a lot of large pots. Also my question was about the stems and the cage/plant positioning.

To answer your questions, the broken plants will keep growing to the point where their root systems choke each other out resulting in small crops or deformed fruits if you try to grow more than one plant in that pot. The position of the wire frame is in the upright position with respect to the pot. The cage is designed to hold one plant as shown in the picture. Tomatoes are upright plants and not vines. One plant should be centered in the middle and not weaving in and out of the cage. Remove all but one plant. I’m not sure how else to explain it. Check the online images.
