I’m with you!đŸ™‹đŸ»â€â™€ïž same plant for a year, only 2 leaf growths, and I feel like I’m battling pests with that one more than any other plant I have

Add more orchid bark or something chunky to allow more drainage, bottom water only. That’ll keep the top layer a little more dry, get fungus gnat traps too to at least get the adults.

A layer of sand on top of the soil is a good deterrent for knats because it prevents them from laying eggs!

I use a chunky soil and let it dry out before the next watering but when I do water it I completely shower it leaves and all.

I keep my monstera deliciosa next to an east facing window where she gets morning direct sunlight and bright indirect sunlight the rest of the day. I water every 1-1.5 weeks and make sure the top 1-2 inches are completely dry. I also give my monstera plant food that’s been diluted every month (you can also do every other watering). I layer cinnamon on the soil and use neem oil after I water. If you bottom water, make sure you top water after a few waterings to help drain things out. Sometimes with monsteras, less is more!
