Hi I’m new to the community group but I’m not new to the green life anyway do anybody know what exactly this is on my baby? It’s kind of sticky when I first got it it was small so I thought it would go away but now it’s gotten bigger

I believe it’s something called Blight and that the plant is getting too much moisture

Likely blight, or another fungal or bacterial infection! My recommendation would be pruning the leaf (as it cannot heal and infections easily spread), treating the remaining plant with copper fungicide, and ensuring the soil dries out completely before watering again.

It easily spreads between plants, so you’ll want to isolate this one and potentially proactively treat the others nearby. I’d recommend neem, I use Captain Jack’s for neem and copper fungicide, but there are plenty on the market. You can probably get away with just neem if you were to choose between the 2 since this case is mild, it will be a less concentrated fungicide.
2개 좋아요Bro, I've been getting weird spots on my snake plant that look very similar to this. But it's been going on for months... It starts on one leaf, and slowly grows until the whole leaf is rotted. Rotted. But the rest of the plant is super healthy! New shoots and everything. So I'll cut the weird leaf, and then a few weeks later, it'll start all over again on a different leaf... 🤷
