Hi everyone! I’m a new plant dad and just started using the Planta app. I’m currently following its care tips and schedule for this Dieffenbachia. Do you think it might be too close to the window? I’ve already trimmed a few yellowing leaves.
Not too close. They do just lose leaves at the bottom as they grow. Make sure you spin it regularly so it stays upright and does not lean towards light. Gorgeous plant!

0件のいいねAlso, dumb cane is out of fashion because it refers to a torture technique used on enslaved people. Dieffenbachia is the more modern name. It is toxic to pets and people.

Also, remember to check the soil before watering according to the app’s suggestion. Many times your plant isn’t ready and then you have an overwatering problem. You can snooze the reminder and choose how long before you check it again. When I was a newbie, the best advice I got was “an underwatered plant is MUCH easier to save than an overwatered plant.”
