Hey everyone ! Just got this little cute plant right here from local plant swap stand , I look it up and it says a Coleus but I just want to confirm . Does anyone know ?

LyndaYup! It’s definitely a coleus! I plant several of them every year, and this is my favorite variety. Unfortunately, I am not sure the name of this variety, off the top of my head, but I’m sure somebody will let you know what it is. Best of luck!

You probably already know this plant is an annual, which is always a disappointment to me when she gets slimed with the first frost. My coleus usually grow 2 to 3 feet tall during the summer, and are primarily a shade loving plant. Of course, I live in the great PNW, and as you’ve heard, there’s not much sun, and plenty of cold and rain during the winter… not a great climate for any annual to be successfully wintered over. And if my mind serves me right, you will need to slug bait this lovely plant. Good luck, and enjoy!

Crazy plant ladyI’m currently propagating one out in water and then going to plant inside for the winter, if I remember I will post how it’s doing
