Does this look like pest damage? I can’t for the life of me figure out/see what is causing this. Thrips maybe? I just want a second opinion before I start panicking lol

I’d say spider mites with the pin point damage
0 J'aimeAh, it could be that too. Do you know if it’s possible to see damage but not the pest? At least with spider mites? I’ve had them before on some of my plants, but I don’t see the webbing anywhere on the leaves. And thanks for your help!
1 j'aimeNo problem! Yeah it is possible, especially with spider mites, they are very tiny and elusive until the infestation takes hold, also looks like some of your leaves are dissolving from root rot possibly? I’d pest treat it and as part of that take a look at the roots too
2 J'aimeOkay, I will def do that too! It’s been having issues for like a month or two now and I haven’t been able to narrow it down, so your advice is super helpful!
1 j'aimeEeeks yeah, it could be pest and root related, if the roots are mushy and brown or smelly then definitely trim those off and repot into new soil and a disinfected pot. Of course! Always happy to help!
1 j'aimeFlat mites are also tiny and work similarly to spider mites but they don’t make webs so they’re hard to see! Any chance you have a magnifying glass?
2 J'aimeIt’s probably not spider mites if you don’t see webbing. The mites can cause damage and die off. But, the webs remain. See the photo of my Hoya Iris Marie with old damage. Is this a Neon Robusta or Pink syngonium? If so, the edges of the leaves should not be yellowing. It’s hard to tell. It could be a watering issue or insufficient fertilizer. Also, Hard water, especially homes with old iron plumbing, can add too much iron to the plant. It’s a stretch.
0 J'aimeThanks for the comment! Yes, it is a pink syngonium. It looks like the yellowing/extensive damage is really only affecting the older leaves. There are new leaves growing that are coming in with a nice rich color, and no overall issues. It’s actually growing quite a bit since I moved it to a sunnier spot. I’m just stumped! It’s drooping quite a bit too so that might be the roots causing that issue. I repotted it a few months ago and it was absolutely fine before, but has been looking like this ever since! I’ll check out the roots today and maybe give it some fertilizer. Thank you! Oh and I don’t have iron pipes, but I do just water with tap, so maybe I could change that up to see if that helps it improve even a tiny bit haha
