Hello everyone, What do you suggest to do with my avocado? The stem is about 8” now and some people suggest to cut it short to have a stronger stem grow and some other say to leave it as is. What’s your experience with avocado? Also, can it keep growing in water or is it better to plant it in a pot? Thank you!
Definitely a good time to cut it back 2in or so! I usually keep my avocado pits in water for a couple of months after I prune them, but you can grow them in either water or soil.
0개 좋아요Yes I would cut it if I ever did this again. I ended up with a 5 foot tall tree with no branches and 5 leaves at the top lol. Then it got mealybugs and I freaked out and threw it away lol
