For those of you with humidifiers, how high of humidity do you aim for?
30-50% for most plants…do you have a hygrometer?
1 j'aimeYep. I have alocasias and supposedly they like 60-80% so I was thinking 60 or 70 but then read that sixty is the highest humidity you're supposed to have cuz of mold and such. I do have a ceiling fan going constantly.
2 J'aimeyeah I don’t go past 50% for that reason I say do 50 and maybe pair that with regular misting?
2 J'aimeYa that seems like it would work, thanks🙂🪴
0 J'aimeI have humidifiers as well, but for small areas I use EO diffusers. Someone on the app talked about it and it's been a great substitute. Not big, puts out vapor -keeps the area between 55-62%, and can be used with small groupings. I have one on my coffee table and one on the bench in my bedroom and they keep the plants pretty well taken care of. I still do mist their leaves though.
1 j'aimeI have an automatic humidifier that keeps around 50% humdiity
1 j'aimeI aim for 50-55%, but currently only getting to upper 40s because of the dry heated indoor air. I run 2 large room size humidifiers 24 hours a day beside my plant area. Without them the humidity would be in the 20s.
