Hey everybody! I’d like to announce something that I think more people should know! Your color thumb is NOT some kind of declaration about your plant ability. It’s simply a track record of how your plants have done in the past. A black thumb is not by any means someone who can’t take care of plants. It just means someone who hasn’t had good luck with plants in the past. Your thumb color can change easily. Don’t forget that.
I like this...and I'd add. It can be the plant too. It takes some time in figuring out the type(s) that fit in your environment. Philos and pothos are awesome in my home, but any ivy or ferns not so much.
4 LikesAs someone trying really challenging plant care techniques because I'm ready for them, I can confirm. I have the skill for almost any plant, but some things are just so difficult by nature that you go in expecting 60% or higher plant fatality rates. If at first you don't succeed, plant extra. It may take a ton of tries, but I will figure out how to propagate my varigated oak /own root/. For beginner plant people, expect to kill about three of any type of plant before you really figure out what they want

And sometimes you just might have a black thumb for one category of plant and a totally green thumb for another! Give me anything from the forest, but don’t let me touch the desert plants 😂😂
