It looks like its sending out a runner, which means its trying to find a better situation, usually its due to lack of light but it looks like you have a grow light or something there, it could also be too much light, or trying to climb, someone might have better advice than me, im fairly sure you can cut and propogate the runners, but id still adress the fact its producing runners in the first place

      Was it a cutting?

Yes, I also switched it to PON, maybe I should check on its roots, probably lost a few in the transition It’s also a “dark form” scindapsus. It’s my understanding usually darker plants like darker situations so maybe it’s too bright. Not really sure at the moment

Ive seen cuttings its a lot more common for them to produce runners, maybe out of shock or survival instinct, but i agree it might be getting too much light, and giving it something to attach to might make it happy! And yes, im not experienced with pon, but i think a root check might be handy either way! Hope it gives you some new leaves soon, make sure to update 😁

When I attached my amydrium zippelianum and raphidophora Decursiva runners to climbing poles they started putting out leaves instead of runners. Try that!

runners are the plant looking for more ideal situations, usually more light or support. a trellis or stake would help encourage this plant to grow more leaves
