I have just got my first plants. Looking for advice for a kitchen window that gets full late afternoon evening sun.

I’m just a beginner myself so I don’t have advice for you. I’d love to see your plant though. It may also help people give you advice about your lighting. 🌱
0 LikesYes, the type of plants, pot and soil its in make a big difference. What direction the window faces and does it have a sheer curtain if it faces weat or south?
0 LikesLate sun is usually a west facing window so i would recommend succulents, Aloe Veras, Cacti and there are more. Look up full sun loving plants.

0 LikesYay! Welcome to the plant world! What kind of plants did you buy? Hopefully ones that can handle that sun.
0 LikesI haven’t bought any for the kitchen yet as I was unsure about the sun but will look at some cacti
0 LikesMonstera and Pothos varieties should do fine there
0 LikesDon’t get a monstera if you want it to stay small enough for a window.

In my similarly-situated kitchen window, I have African violets, Peperomia, Syngonium, Christmas cactus, pothos, and air plants! ☺️
0 LikesThank you I will look at those.
