What lighting would you say is the best for spider plants? I’m seeing so many mixed reviews online and I don’t know what to do!

I have mine in low light and it does really well. It would also do well in partial sunlight

I have 3 outside but they don’t seem very happy! They were my mother in laws and already in bad shape I just don’t want to kill them! Should I bring them all inside?

I have two. One hangs in a north facing window and is very happy. The other sits next to west window that gets a lot of direct sun. It’s wild and very happy. They can manage in a lot of different lighting situations. Just have to be careful about overwatering. My west plant needs watering a lot more often.

I think I’ve been overwatering them because they looks very sad and yellow 😅 I overthink a lot so I don’t do good with plants that need a little more neglect lol

Oh, I killed an embarrassing number of spider plants in the beginning. Over watered each one. Somehow, these two were strong enough to survive

Stick your finger down into the pot about 2” (2nd joint) and if it feels wet at all don’t water it. I would suggest amending the soil by adding a little bit of new soil MiracleGro & the like. Also invest in a moisture meter for $10 on Amazon.

Mine thrive when they’re in bright indirect light. And by thrive, I mean explode. 😆

They can handle just about any lighting situation, but make sure to only water when completely dry to the bottom of the pot

I have one outside in full sun and one indoors in front of a window that gets only morning sun. They’re bother doing well!

I had mine in a south facing sunroom with lots of bright light and it didn’t take long for it to start throwing out new growth.
