Hey all, I’m wondering: have you ever been able to grow an avocado plant from the pit/seed of a grocery store avocado? If so, what was the most effective method that you used?

I tried the other method of soaking the pit and peeling off the thin brown layer. Then I wrapped it in some damp/wet kitchen paper towel, put it in a sealed plastic bag and left it in a dark place for a few weeks. Same results without the toothpicks.

좋아요 1개This is my avocado plant (from seed) I've been nurturing for about a year and a half. She likes the outdoors better if it's warm enough, but we're still having cold snaps in middle TN. 🥑

좋아요 1개I believe I have, but I probably need to again. Thanks for all the help and advice!
