I was so sad when these new leaves started coming out brown. I thought that there was something wrong with it like root rot because the rest of the lease were green. But these leaves are healthy. It’s just a pretty new color!

    I think in peperomias the new leaves are darker and they go greener as they age. I see that all the time with my string of turtles. I never had a textured pilea, tho. The watermelon one becomes darker as it ages 🤷‍♀️
