This is my first fiddle leaf fig. I’m not sure if i should cut her bottom leaves that have damage off while it’s winter in Oregon. I just watered her for the first time today since i bought her a week ago so im hoping that will help with some drooping leaves. The big damaged leaves though seem like they’d be stealing nutrients. Help lol

I got my fiddle leaf fig as a rescue. I removed all of the damaged leaves and it looked horrible but now it’s big and beautiful. Once I did this it immediately started growing new leaves. It’s ok to remove damaged bottom leaves. Just keep in mind the leaves won’t grow back but these plants are often kept to look like mini trees. The new leaves on my plant are simply huge.
