Hi yall! I am starting to sell plants as a side gig and wanted to start at farmers markets! When applying to be a vendor they ask for social media so I created an instagram @dirtyrootsclub. If y’all would follow me it would mean the world! Also please let me know what plants you think would be best for farmers markets! I’m happy to hear all opinions 😊

I think that plants known for flowing indoors could be a really good fit at a farmers market. Holiday cactus (either or all of the 3) African violets (or primulina or streptocarpus) Moth orchids Cactus 🌵 (I’m always surprised by how beautiful their flowers are) Etc.

I agree, I have gotten some at markets and they were succulents, something small and hardy I knew I would not kill on the journey home lol - also following your page!

Ficus benjamina (easy to care for, super easy to propagate by cuttings), tradescantia (nice color, also good about cuttings), mini moth orchids, any native outdoor plants (maybe as seed packs), maybe one very unusual/brightly colored plant to help draw people in to your market stall
