My philodendron birkin has a pink stripe! What’s going on? (Definitely not sun stressed; if anything, it’s too dark.) On the top leaf in the photo! It’s more visible from the underside of the leaf (pictured).

Ok, I’m not an expert but I’ve seen a lot of posts about this happening with Philo birkins. Reddit is a great source if you look up ‘philodendron birkin reverted’. Basically, a birkin is a relatively unstable cultivar of Philodendron rojo congo and so it occasionally reverts back to that more stable form. Options for helping it to encourage more birkin-esque variegation include cutting it back to the last stable leaf and offering it more light 👍🏻
