Fuchsia Thymifolia Care Hi everyone, I need some care advice for my new thyme-leafed fuchsia. I currently have it planted in a shallow bonsai pot with a well draining succulent mix and bonsai soil. The app here says to water this plant ONCE EVERY 28 DAYS which I know can’t be right. I have a myrtle in bonsai pot that’s doing very well and I literally water it every day and the apps suggestions seem to be spot on there. My question is, given these conditions and the existence of my plant in a pretty warm office (with grow light) how often should I water and use liquid fertilizer? Right now I’m watering about once every 4-5 days and fertilizing every two weeks.

Water when it dries. Test the soil for moisture. Only water when it is dry. Don’t water by a set schedule or you can kill your plants. The app won’t know your environment or the variables that can cause the soil to dry faster or slower. I agree with fertilizing every two weeks in the warmer months.

When it’s entirely dry or just the surface?

Let all the soil dry between waterings. The common fuchsia is different than this variety and prefer moisture left in the soil.
