Should I be concerned about the shape of my fiddly fig? It’s like folded up at the top. Might it be too close to the grow light? It is growing new leaves up top but has lost a leaf at the bottom and another is not looking super good. Also contemplating repotting??? Any advice is appreciated!

I’m not super knowledgeable on fiddle leaf figs. However, I believe the leaves are folding that way at the top because they are growing towards their light source. If you want them to “poof” out more I would try to either lowering the plant so the light source is higher above the top leaves; and/or moving it someplace with a light source that isn’t directly a above it.

I think your fiddle leaf fig looks great! The new leaves at the top of mine do the same thing. The older, lower leaves seem to turn down over time. Here’s mine:

I never hear anything but “my (insert ficus of choice here) isn’t doin good” which is why I don’t have one, but yours looks very healthy. I know that they typically drop their oldest (lowest) leaf when they’re planning on new growth so yours is probably about to get some more height. You might want to invest in a more adequate lighting system though as I’m not sure how many books you’ll be able to stack there before that lamp just can’t get coverage of the whole plant
