Help! What’s the quickest way to get rid of these gnats from my peace Lily? I already got these yellow sticky things recommended but now the gnats are all over my house even upstairs.

Neem oil works well from my own experience. Quarantine from other plants and make sure the top 2 inches of soil dry out so the larvae won’t be able to hatch. The yellow sticky things help get rid of the adult flying gnats. The neem oil I have in a spray bottle with equal parts water to dilute it. I spray the leaves and do a spritz on the top of the soil cause I got desperate. I haven’t noticed any more gnats in a long while so I’m a happy camper!

Wonderful!! Definitely doing this!! My hubby wants me to get rid of the plant and I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and have had lots of blooms before. I’ve worked to hard to give up on it lol. Thank you so much for the advice 🙏🏻

Oh no! Your plant looks so full and beautiful!! I would at least give this a chance with the neem oil and drying it out.

You can fix this! It is frustrating for sure. When I have a breakout, I add insecticidal soap to water whenever I have to water. It is very concentrated so you don’t use much, I use the yellow sticky traps and spray with neem oil. I also have the small plug in insect zappers, if I have a breakout. I guess you could say it’s war!!! Just some thoughts…🪴

I like to use 1/4 hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 water on the soil. It helps kill any adult gnats hiding and kills any larvae and eggs. I also like to use neem oil to make gnats go away from your plant. Maybe sure you also spray the rest of your plants so the gnats don’t go to them. (Neem oil has a stink so you can dilute it) Bottom watering also helps just make sure to not overwater too. Yellow sticky traps are good to kill adult gnats and figure out if your gnat population is going up or down Hope this helps!

Would highly recommended getting yourself a few Butterworts to put around your house. The larger, purple ones you can sometimes find at Lowe's or home Depot are best, although they're not reliably there all the time.

Take it out of that white pot and put it in a shallow catch tray instead. Those pots hold a lot of humidity every time you water and gnats love it.

Just not suitable for peace lily until you get the watering schedule and amount down. Otherwise you’re just feeding the gnatquarium every time you go to water

Nematodes. Literally the only way to completely get rid of them.

I’m really struggling with them this year. First time ever and I have had plants for 35 years. Using yellow sticky things, mosquito dunk tea and letting them dry out more. Long road, but things are getting better.
