My roommate bought this at Costco last year and it suddenly decided to bloom. I think it’s a bromeliad so that means it’s on its way out? Not a bromeliad person so let me know if I’m wrong!

They bloom once lasting a while. Then the plant if healthy will produce pups that you can transplant to create new plants.

0 likesNope! Not a bromeliad - it’s a type of lily!

Lucky!! My bromeliad didn’t survive the winter 😩
0 likesIt’s definitely a Clivia (natal, bush) lily. It’s part of the amaryllis family and not a bromeliad. I had one many years ago that died from too much parental love when I went off to school. 😄
