#Meshofdeath! to remind you to always check your roots! ๐
I just repotted 3 plants today that had these!
์ข์์ 1๊ฐHey, new plant person here! Can you please elaborate?
์ข์์ 1๊ฐWhen plants are propagated at nurseries they use mesh pods with cocoa coir instead of larger pots. This is good for early growth however they donโt get removed and the plant is then potted up. This causes more moisture retention around the center of the roots causing rot and not allowing the roots to grow freely. Iโve noticed them on almost every new plant Iโve purchased.
์ข์์ 1๊ฐOh thank you! I had a string of pearls that might have had that problem. The picture of the roots looked very similar . I attributed it to โroot rotโ, but Iโm still unsure of what caused it. Looking back, there might have been coir involved.
0๊ฐ ์ข์์Absolutely! I will definitely look out for this in all future purchases Side note: that lil baby is sooo cute ๐ฅบ
