My snake plant is flowering. This is 1 of 5 stalks that have shot up, and it’s just beginning to flower. This is the first time I’ve ever even heard of snake plant flowers! Very exciting

They only flower when they are stressed. It's a trigger for when it can't expand in its container. Don't worry to much. It's not like it's suffering and is in dire need of repotting. It just has extra energy to spend on flowers. Enjoy the scent and honey like nectar.
3 Likesnot true. like any other ornamental plant, snake plants typically only flower under ideal conditions. a "death flower" or stress-induced bloom would be coming from a visibly less healthy plant.
0 LikesI didn't say this was a death spike. But it is due to mild stress. 3 things are needed for a Dracaena to flower. 1: Age (7+ years old) 2: Be healthy 3: Be root bound (which is stressful). So while saying they need to be stressed sounds bad, there are shades of gray. He should look to repot it after the flowers are done.
2 LikesI plan on upgrading the pot to a couple inches bigger in the spring!
0 LikesDo the flowers have fragrance?
0 LikesThey do!! You can really smell it at night.
0 LikesSo pretty. I had a snake plant that flowered once. Since I’ve moved to Florida I’ve acquired several more. Hoping one day one of them will surprise me!
