I have several plants and I’m getting a ton of those gnats in my house. I currently use those plug ins that gets them trapped on the sticky pad but I’m not sure which plants are producing them. What can I do to treat all of my plants and get rid of them?

Check your plants. Sounds like one of them might have fungus gnats. You may actually have to treat them all if they are in close proximity to each other. They are grueling to get rid of but you can. Try to let the soil dry out between watering. Treat with mosquito bits. I had two plants i eventually repotted and that seemed to really knock them out. I had a self watering pot that was the culprit. They were breading in between the pots. 🤮 you can dig your finger in the soil and either gnats fly out or you can see the larvae they look like maggots. It’s so gross. But you got this. Overwatering feeds them they love moist environments and they feed on the plants roots.

I'm trying to figure this out myself. I've used Neem oil but I just ran out and never fully fixed the issue. Yellow sticky traps are such a hassle but it does help show which plants have the issue. I am looking into beneficial nematodes I hear they help.

I also had them pretty bad last summer. I have repotted most of my plants in SOL Soil Chunky Houseplant mix and have had none since. I also use Bonide systemic granules in plants I suspect could have pests. Good luck!

I use mosquito bits in every plant I bring home. It kills the larvae so between that and traps you will eventually get rid of them but may take a few life cycles. You can also make a tea out of them and water your plants with it but putting them on top of the soil and top watering should work too.

And bottom water. They live in the top of the soil. So take the top 1 inch of soil off and put fresh soil in. Then bottom water..

You can get a sundew plant to catch the gnats in addition to whatever everyone else recommends.
