Norfolk pine help please. What causes some needles to go brown. She is under a grow light 10 ft from a south window. Soil is still damp, watered about 1-2 wks ago. Northern BC climate indoors ( obviously, lol )

    I picked one up a month ago around the holidays and it’s started to do the same. Have you repotted yours? I realized mine seems completely root bound and the soil is hydrophobic and just not holding any water and the soils bone dry even a few hours after watering. I’m hoping a repot will save mine. I’ve also read that the drying and brown tips are a sign of low humidity. They require a lot more than I ever knew. If it’s not the pot maybe try putting it in a more humid area, by a humidifier, or adding a water tray.

    Thanks. I have been misting it daily. The tips are good but needles in the middle of the branch are brown. Have not done the humidity tray. And i have not changed the soil.

    Low humidity and sunburn are the main issues with pines. Try slightly less light (it'll lean towards light if it's not getting enough)
