Hi guys! I just got this white bird of paradises the leaf is “crunchy” and curling up. Am I doing something wrong?

    I also have a bird of paradise doing the same I don't know what's causing it hopefully someone will know

    It just means it’s not quite getting enough water - birds of paradises in the summer months are very thirsty queens. What I do is have my giant one (2metres tall) standing on tall pot feet over a large drip tray, and when I water it the water trickles into the tray but keeps the plant’s feet dry and airy, floating above the water. It keeps the humidity just perfect for the whole plant. Although the roots on mine love it so much that they’ve gone on a voyage out of the pot to ‘drink’ the water in the tray and have become somewhat hydroponic which is quite interesting. As yours is a smaller plant, instead of pot feet, you can also try a plant pot elevator / trivet - see Amazon. Upside down tea light candles also work too!
