Wow! I didn’t realize you can grow strawberries 🍓 inside! How difficult are they to grow?

They’re not that hard tbh! Once you figure out the water schedule and give them enough light they grow so well, I’ve just got a sign of the first flower I think🥺

There are many ways for pollen to be transferred within the flower and unlike some crops, strawberries are self-fertile. However, maximum yields are possible with a combination of self-pollination (pink), wind (blue), and insects (green).Although flowers are capable of self-pollinating, each pistil must receive pollination, and studies have shown that self-pollination and wind-blown pollen are often not sufficient to completely pollinate a flower. Only about 60-70% of maximum pollination results from these vectors alone, and open pollination with the aid of insects is necessary for the greatest yield. Insect pollination can also improve strawberry quality and shape, meaning that berries last longer and look fuller! I would recommend a fan to assist in wind pollination if your determined to get a yield of strawberries inside, this will increase odds from 30% to 60%. If you throw them outside you will increase yields however with no added costs. Hangin them is the easiest, any pot can be hung with any rope if you look up how tie a hanging basket yourself, weaving is fun and keeps the nasty bugs away, ladybugs are friends and can fly ✌️
