Okay guys, what do I do in this situation? My cats bend a stem and I’m trying to figure out if it should be cut off or wrapped and pray it’ll be fine. I kept looking up on internet whenever to do but it kept giving me mixed answers. This is a majesty palm, first time owning a palm.
I've read to let it die a slow natural death ...don't cut it off. Although I don't remember why. Maybe someone can elaborate.

Every time I see a majesty palm I get flashbacks because they are so hard to keep happy and alive! Their leaves die slowly yet rapid. It looks like there isn’t much you can really do, I’d suggest cutting the area affected first or cutting the frond flush to the trunk/ closest to the soil. I read it helps prevent disease spread and stops it wasting resources on a dead area.
