Hi everyone. I have a golden pothos who keeps shedding her leaves at the top of the vines, so she ends up with leaves only at the bottom. I think I have figured out why this is happening, so made some changes to watering, drainage and light. My question now is should I trim those vines with only a few leaves? And if so should I do it all at once? I am worried about doing more damage.

If you trim the vines without leaves, you can prop them. Once the props root, you can plant them back into the pot to fill it back out. Make sure you leave enough leaves for the mother plant to thrive. Good luck!

Should I trim them all the way to the base?

It depends on the length and condition of the vine. Regardless of how short, make sure there is a healthy node towards the cut. The plant will most likely shoot out new growth from that vine and will help fill the plant back in.

make sure it gets plenty of light after you trim. Also, you may need to adjust watering if you trim a lot.

You can trim them to any level you find aesthetically appealing. They often get new growth at the cut site so I would say find a node in a good spot and ✂️
