Does anyone know what this is?? I donât want to believe itâs root rotđ«Ł I was propagating this Moses in the Cradle cutting and itâs been doing fine but just today I noticed the roots were black. I changed the water maybe a week ago and the roots werenât black at all the last couple days
itâs likely algae if the root was introduced to sunlight in a clear glass. the roots are fine, and it appears to be growing stronger. donât worry! roots suffering from root rot will be soft and mushy

agree! totally normal and fine! if it was rot you would smell it
1 LikeThatâs better news thank you! Iâve propagated many cuttings on this same window ledge and never had this happen. So my next question is do I leave it alone? Or should I clean off the algae? If so, how/what should I use?
