Is this ficus rubber plant a Ruby? AI has given me a few different answers and it doesn’t look as red as the other rubies I’ve seen.

    this is a tineke. rubies have a very distinct pink sheen on all of their leaves, not just the new ones. here's my tineke

    My Ruby looked just like yours when I got it. When I started giving it brighter light, it started producing more reddish leaves. It can handle some direct light each day. Here’s a pic showing some of her more reddish leaves:

    Definitely more light for more color. I have a ruby, too. In good light even the back of the leaves turn red. Love it!
