When roots are silver give her a drink they will turn grean when hydrated, don't let her sit in water. Once accumulated to her home. A month or more I would repot in a clear pot for ease of viewing roots. For substrate I would use a orchid bark mix. They will rot if their crown stays wet I would bottom water to help prevent that.

Those roots are wild!! I like an orchid pot that has lots of holes for the roots to grow through and get air. And only Orchid bark for the medium. I do a weekly orchid bath where I let them soak in the sink for 20 mins. I've had this one for 3 years

WOW what a gorgeous orchid! they can take a year just to make one new leaf, this beauty is old. silver roots = thirsty, needs a drink. also needs repotting, looks like this orchid could use an 8in pot, not a 4in one. no soil! non-soil mediums only, orchid bark works best for most people. they grow on trees in the wild, their roots aren't made for dirt. such a beautiful orchid! the blooms will be huge on this thing!!

So I’m assuming if it has brown dried roots those are dead and should be cut off?
