Yesterday I was checking my plants as usual and thought the big leaf in the center was a dead leaf. I was wrong. When I pulled the leaf out, it had this white thing the size of a marble on the end and was attached to the two leaves at the side. It also had a small root coming off the bottom. Panic ensued … but I was able to put it back in a small pot pictured below. What was the thing on the bottom? Plus is there a chance of survival? 🫠

ZZs grow from rhizomes, the marble thing, where it stores water and nutrients, which then grows roots. Long story short, it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do!
