pothos soooo easy to propagate just find a good node and cut underneath :)
1 likethe little notches that you see right under the leaves are the nodes!!! Any of those you see will shoot new growth in those spots after you cut :) best method for pothos is water propagating!!

0 likesThank you! Do you guys put anything like prop drops in your water or just water? How often should I change the water? And is it true I should keep that water after to water the plant?
0 likesyou can propagate a zz plant by taking a cutting or leaf, but it takes FOREVER. to scratch the propagation itch, i'd go with the pothos lol

I have not propagated ZZ by leaf cutting but I was very successful splitting my ZZ root ball into three different plants. Remove from the dirt and gently separate the roots. They came apart very easily. Repot each in its own pot.

The pothos for sure propagate in water faster. You can propagate in dirt but it’ll take way longer. I always chopped them like this first photo but I was watching a video that suggests going much closer, like in the second photo, and having just a little upside down T shape. Then it’ll grow a root right out of the middle of your stem. So I’m giving that a try! Rooting powder doesn’t hurt. If you propagate in water, you’ll just wanna make sure that you water it a bit extra at first, so the propagations aren’t shocked going from water to dirt.
