I need some help with my African Violets please. I had two very large African Violets that I’ve been caring for for 5 years. They have not bloomed. An expert at my Garden Club told me that they needed to be split apart and moved to a sunnier place. Today a friend of mine and I did that. So now I have EIGHT PLANTS and THREE pots with leaf cuttings in them. Do I delete the two original plants and just create 8 new ones and 3 new leaf babies????? Any suggestions or help you can offer I would so appreciate it. Thanks

You could do it that way if you wanted, or you could keep one plant listed to cover the 8 new ones. It just gets rid of technicalities and keeps it simple. So when you have to water them, the watering schedule will remind you for that one, but you’ll know that you’ll have to water the 8. I hope that makes sense.

Yes it does but they are different sizes, which I forgot to mention. These are the plants and the leaf cuttings. Remember ALL of these were in just two big pots. Do you still think your idea will work?

Wow, that’s a lot of African violets! I imagined them to be in smaller pots. Since you have varying sizes, you might want to make separate plants. Technically you could still make one for the 8, but they would have to strictly be on the same care schedule and location, just so it won’t get confusing. Either way works, it’s up to you!
