Do you use rabbit poop for plant fertilization? What’s your experience with it? Finally putting it to the test with my own in-house manufacturer!

Woah! I’ve heard rabbit poop is a cold fertilizer, but I’m still not used to the idea of putting it right on plants lol. I grew up for a few years on a dairy farm, so my family is used to using composted cow manure on outdoor plant beds only. Defffffinitely wouldn’t want to use cow manure un-processed 😅

I think I tried with one plant a while ago but nothing much happened im pretty sure Edit: apparently it’s high in phosphorus and can promote bigger blooms so I might try some with my African Violets, knowing they like phosphorous especially.. I also just want it to bloom so it might help with that!

2 Mi piaceMost manure including humans and farm animals is aged before using as compost. Rabbit manure is the exception. Cold manure like that from rabbits can be used directly from the factory!😆 The nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) values are low with amounts of 2.4-1.4-0.6 NPK per google. So, phosphorus is 0.6 and is low compared to chemical fertilizers. Nitrogen levels are high compared to other animal manure. It’s almost 10x the nitrogen level in cow manure. So, it boosts leaf and stem growth. You might get healthier greener leaves and less flowers. But, I’m no expert.
