When you got something, you go ALL IN!!!! Good luck with your jungle! (I have wanted to add an Alocasia Bambino to my collection for a while now!)

Oh wow! That’s a lot to start with! Add them to planta to know when to water and who needs what kind of light. Good luck!

Wow! You aren’t messing around! The only plant I have in your list is the pink princess. Mine is very sensitive to over watering and hates to be repotted so careful of that. I live in south Alabama (hey, neighbor 👋) and the best advice I can give is to make sure your soil is CHUNKY where appropriate. (Miracle Gro straight from the bag is always too dense). Maybe get a moisture reader. Planta’s watering schedule is a SUGGESTION, not gospel. This app and community has been very helpful in helping me to become a plant person. Good luck, send pics!

Hey neighbor! This community has been amazing!! Yes I’ve been doing my research and got some aroid mix for my babies. Also learning how to make my own. Way ahead of you with the moisture reader! figured I would need that because some of these tropics can be finicky.

Let me know if you find anything particularly effective. I just bought Molly’s Aroid mix to amend the soil for my begonias and we’ll see how that goes. It look promising.

Tips for the alocasias: they are drama queens and tend to throw tantrums when they're moved. Be gentle with them and expect them to sacrifice a leaf in protest. They like to have very consistent soil moisture. I've found self-watering pots work great with mine, but if you want to do a regular pot, make sure the soil has both good moisture retention and good drainage, be very consistent about when you water, and be aware that alocasias prefer a tighter fitting pot than average. If they get cold enough, they can do a winter dormancy, so don't be alarmed if one near a window drops all its leaves in fall/winter. Some can be sensitive to chemicals or mineral imbalances, so test your water or switch to distilled if you see major leaf color changes

Also be aware that monsteras can get very big, pretty fast. Plan ahead
