Maybe try using Castile soap and gently washing off each leaf. Also make sure to get the underside of each leaf. Also spider mites like calm dry air so maybe get a fan or put it in a windy spot and maybe mist a bit more or get a humidifier.

I’ve read spider mites don’t do well in 100% humidity… I didn’t know still air is also a factor! I’ll keep that in mind. Brianne, if possible you could spray down the plant and then put it in a clear bag for a few days (to achieve 100% humidity while the insecticide is doing its job). Regular showers (like when watering) can do wonders for reducing/preventing pests. 🪴🚿😊 Let us know how it works out!

Oh my, I had the worst time last time I had spider mites. My dieffenbachia is still recovering a year later. Insecticidal soap is what I used. I basically had to drench the entire plant, front and back of leaves, every 3 days or so. Keep doing that for like 3 weeks. My problem is, I thought I was rid of them the first time, stopped using it, then they rebounded with a vengeance.

Not at all! Leaves were completely unaffected by the spray. Of course, they were already looking poor from the mites…
0 LikesI had them about a year ago and used Bonide Mite X. Had to repeat application about every 5 days for about two months. I was lucky because they never spread to other plants.
