UPDATE: THIS ISNâT EVEN A FICUS AUDREY WITH VARIEGATION. IT WAS MISLABELED. ITâS A FICUS ALTISSIMA! THEYâRE ALL VARIEGATED. đ GLAD I DIDNâT BUY IT!! I found this variegated ficus Audrey at my Home Depot. Iâve never seen one. Is it rare? Itâs $80. Should I buy it?
If you really want it go for it but 80 bucks is a lot. How big is it?

Wait two weeks and it will be on the discount cracks. I would not pay more than $10 for it. It looks like itâs seen some things!đ

They might be able to ask for a discount without waiting because itâs a bit beat up âand the leaves are yellowingâ đđ But I wouldnât pay $80. I have a ficus lemon lime that looks almost exactly the same and is relatively cheap. I think theyâre technically different subspecies though
1 Like I mostly wanted to know if the variegation makes it special. There were two. This was the worst looking one. The other one was perfect. Itâs about three feet tall and had no leaf damage. But I didnât buy it. I just had never seen a variegated Audrey before and couldnât find anything on it when I googled it. I also couldnât find any on Etsy or Blossom. Thatâs why I thought it might be rare. I thought maybe I was one of those lucky people who found a unicorn for a song. I did find one place online that has them of similar size for about $270 but they were out of stock. Honestly though, I really donât need another plant and iâm not much of a ficus fan. Thank you for helping me out with that. So glad I asked. âşď¸

Most of these new variegations of common plants start out rare and expensive, and a year later they will be so much more common youâll be able to pick it up from a seller for $10-20. Itâs a beautiful plant, but not worth the money (unless you like to be able to have a rare plant for a year or two). The most Iâve ever spent on any plant is $25. I would just add it to my wish list for now and wait for the price to come down later.
0 Likes Good point. Iâll feel better about not having it even later then since Iâm not a ficus fan. Iâm still waiting for Thai cons to come down. And monstera albo. They havenât yet where I live. And I am a monstera fan!
