This is my first alocasia I’m really hopeful not to kill it! I repotted it after bringing it home a week ago. I’m worried that the soil is too chunky? If that’s possible for these plants? The soil mix I mixed up is equal parts perlite, potting soil, and orchid mix. Any advice would be appreciated!

Don't overwater and provide humidity. This looks like Polly and it's quite cute.

Soil looks like a good mix, I make a similar mix for my alocasias and they are doing quite well. The potting soil will hold onto moisture and the bark and perlite will provide nice drainage and room for the roots. Good luck!

Sounds like a good aroid mix. Alocasias are aroids. This soil mix should work well!
