In your experience, are there any plant types that should never be pruned or propagated in winter? I’m still in my first year as a serious plant parent and trying to tamp down my excitement to DO DO DO. I’ve been diligent about checking leaves and stems, pretty sure there’s been no significant leaf drop, and carefully tried to water less than I’m tempted to. Any advice for the resting season?

Propagation requires a lot of light, so unless you have grow lights it’s gonna be a struggle. Pruning depends on the plant, but depending how much light they have they will regrow. Otherwise they’ll just stay dormant all winter. However, they won’t die. It takes more than that to kill a plant.
