Finally got a pitcher on this Nepenthes Maxima and it’s beautiful. Caught a fly and fed it :)

Did it take a while for it to produce a trumpet??? I have a nepenthes alata (lovingly dubbed the name Hannibal) and I was just curious.

  I have had it for 3 months and got it without any pitchers so not too long. I do find they need a lot of light. I have it under a dedicated grow light and right beside a humidifier.

nice!! i wouldn’t worry too much about feeding it. they catch there one meals. lookin good! 👏

  Thanks. It’s indoors only so won’t come in contact with many insects especially during our long 6 month -22F winters here.
