Hm yes and no. While usually accurate I’ve noticed they can be a bit picky with some plants. Ex: carnivorous Nepenthes, I have been told and researched, love direct sunlight but the app tells me having it in my south facing window is too bright…? So yes and no lol what plant?

It recommends watering too often in my opinion

Nope lol, not one bit, it gives you a very very rough draft guideline but that’s about all. I’d say use the “urgent” watering reminders as times to just check the soil with your finger, chopstick, or soil moisture meter. If it’s wet or very moist do not water and just snooze the reminder or sometimes I skip till next time. Lighting id go off of google research than the app, I’ve heard some people try to use the light meter on this app and pointing it directly at a full sun south facing window (if you’re in the northern hemisphere) and it tells you there’s not enough light.

agreed with above!! i’m an under-waterer, meaning i water less frequently to avoid root rot, and i live in a humid environment so i don’t need to water as often as the app suggests even though i have my location/environment settings up to date! lighting - NO haha i have so many indoor plants that do well in lighting that the app says is way too dark. overall it really depends on your own location and indoor temps and watering habits!

I keep getting a warning that my Thai basil can’t be outside 😅 I always check if it sounds wrong. I had a problem with an update changing all my settings once too.
