Hello plant friends. Does anyone know why my tradescantia zebrina is completely purple/pink? Too much light? Help! Also, I just bought an alocasia Polly. Planta says it’s hard to take of. Anyone have any tips for care? Thank you

Mine gets more pink/purple with sunlight maybe that’s why. I love when it’s bright like that!

I just saw the before pic…mine is a nanouk so it’s supposed to be that color lol. I haven’t a clue why that one would change that much 🤔

Maybe it isn’t a zebrina variety? It looks gorgeous though!

I guess I’ll try fertilizing it and maybe move it in a less sunny location to see if I can get it green again. Thanks everyone for your comments ☺️

Yea, I’d say more indirect sunlight will help get it green again. I noticed when I would leave mine in direct sunlight, it would turn purple and almost translucent. If my front porch didn’t get full sun all day, I’d have started an outdoor pot of them already. I lost a lot of leaves from repotting them out of the hanging basket but they come back like a dad who hadn’t seen their kid in years but heard they won the lottery so I’m not too worried haha!

Mine gets a lot of light in a south facing sunroom. It’s never changed colors like that 🤔
