I think they are picky about humidity levels…I almost had my hands on an Alocasia Bambino a few months ago, but he got lost by USPS and likely died in his box!!!😢🪴
1 LikeThat sucks ! I will definitely keep good humidity!
1 LikeDefinitely keep away from heat and a/c vents. I made that mistake! And I would say only re-pot “bigger” if the roots are growing out of the bottom. I’ve repotted in too large a pot and the soil would stay “wet” for too long. They hate to be waterlogged. Oh Happy Plants has an amazing soil selection and one that is geared for these types of plants which is chunky and holds moisture but has excellent drainage so the roots are never “wet”. It was a game changer for all of my different plants.
1 LikeI will look for this brand thank you for the advice!!
0 LikesMine is planted outside and thrives in part sun and plenty of water. It dies back for the winter and comes back in April-May.
1 LikeThat is interesting! Thanks for the advice
0 LikesA good moss mix works well. Bottom watering will save you a BUTT LOAD of trouble. Saves lives 😅
1 LikeOk ! I will bottom water thank you!
1 LikeSame!
1 LikeMine died from low humidity. Thinking of trying again now that I’m a better plant parent.
1 LikeSame, I hope you can keep yours alive this time!!
0 LikesI have a mini greenhouse now from IKEA and keep the humidity at 50-65% now which has made a huge difference for my sensitive plants.
