Any suggestions on what I can plant in this beautiful recently thrifted glass vase? I wanna watch a beautiful root system develop. 😍 I will add a few more pics below. TIA!

I’m in the succulent world where every pot has a drainage, so I’m not sure. However, I needed to just say yes, that is an amazing pot. It will be like watching an ant farm.

i would recommend using this for semi-hydro growing since plants in soil need drainage, you have to be really really careful with watering without any drainage holes, it’s difficult even for experienced growers. my choice of media would be aquarium stratum (popular brands include solum and fluval) or leca. coarse perlite would also work, depends how you want the media to look, as it will be a huge feature since the container is glass.
2 LikesI use fluval stratum for propagating. Do u think it is possible for a plant to live in stratum “forever”? It kinda gets mushy after a while. I guess fresh stratum every so often would work. I just love watching roots grow. Ty for the feedback! Adding a pick of my beautiful roots from my colocasia in stratum. 💚
0 LikesI love growing split-leaf philodendrons and Chinese evergreens in water! The evergreens have big white roots that look cool.
